Last week I shared Friday No.91 which was taken on my first outing with the Olympus EM5. Later the same day I shot this image with the EM5. At the time I liked the scene but the conditions were very poor. It’s only now that I recognise I captured the image I wanted to. I definitely have some kind of block which prevents me from seeing a good image until sometime later (usually many months).
I will share some further thoughts about this next week.
Have a great weekend everyone.
I have the same problem, and its the reason I don’t delete any images, 2tb portable hard drives are cheap these days, and take so little room.
A couple of years ago, I witnessed and photographed a “Sea Fury” crash land at RNAS Culdrose air show (no casualties), when I looked at the images, I almost deleted the lot in frustration and anger at myself, as every image looked out of focus, I looked at them a few days later and they all seemed fine, the only thing I did differently, I cleaned my glasses.
Just one reason for not pressing that delete button!
That’s a very good lesson I think. I have also experienced the same thing when my glasses were covered in sea spray at the beach. Sounds silly but it makes a big difference. Thanks for sharing.

I am very impressed with your latest view, maybe you should supply the shots in both colour and b&w for comparisons so individuals can come to own conclusion and decide on future techniques.
Thanks. Shame it’s taken me three years to recognise some of these shots. I will sort something out for sharing the colour image. I actually like it more – I think.
