Yet another snow scene for this Friday’s image I’m afraid. It’s another of the images I shot a few weeks back and I seriously need to get out to shoot some new material. Unfortunately, the weather still isn’t good whenever I have some spare time. Fingers crossed for tomorrow when I will try again.
Anyway, I do like this image and though it would be a nice one to share.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Lovely scene, refreshing, cold, but not frozen. This reminds me a lot of my own local scenery which is heavy in small lakes bordered by thick forests. While this can be viewed idyllically it does become over redundant in my area. The point is that you have such a rich variation of landscape, with hills, mountains, rock, lakes, quaint villages, roads, castles, farms, and historical sites within such short distances. It is a distinct advantage to constantly have this kaleidoscope of photo worthy opportunities within minutes or very short distances. It becomes a real challenge, at times, especially winter, to find any opportunity in my frozen state of Wisconsin, USA. So don’t pine over not shooting, just go out and continue to capture those lovely landscapes you bring us on a weekly basis.
Thank yo very much John. Very wise words although you are putting me off my upcoming visit to the US. I was hoping to get some great photography in. Guess I need to be sure to rent a car ;-).

You probably get a bit more of the white stuff at your part of the country but I live in Ormskirk near Soutport, Lancs. and snow is rare like rocking horse sh.. , so I really enjoy your shots.

Ian
Thanks Ian, It’s great to hear that you like the photographs. And yes, snow is a lot less of a problem where you live.
