Excellent shot with several important decisions made. The main decision is whether or not to keep as a landscape or an abstract. By including a small slice of the post and odd shaped dirt on the very right side plus a very large slice of sky above, you have chosen to give us a true landscape instead of an abstract involving the rhythm of the three bans of contrasting color of green, tan, and brown. This type of composition and decision making is what reflects a real photographer from just a snapshot taker. A brilliant example of making a powerful and significant image out of an otherwise rather mundane scene. Bravo!
Thank you John. Not just for the kind words but recognising the decisions I made. Yes, the distant telegraph post was deliberately included. I was also careful not to make the composition appear too perfect. I could did contemplate changing my position to remove the dirt patch and even walked over to another point to take a look – I didn’t like it as much. Thanks for your comments.
