I love trees and last weekend went for a walk in the Peak District, above and then along the banks of Derwent reservoir. The autumn colours were quite spectacular but it’s this tree that captured my attention. The bark was a wonderful silver blue colour and seemed so smooth. I’m not sure that it comes across clearly in the image but I still wanted to share it.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Beautiful photo, as usual. Did you use an JDR camera setting? How did you process this?
Thansk Scott. The shot is a single RAW file which was processed in Lightroom to TIFF. I did some further adjustments using Nik Viveza as well as the Pro Contrast filter in Nik Colour Efex. I find the Pro controst filter is great for neutralizing colour cast and the Dynamic contrast slider in there also opens up the shadows.
A very nice image Robin I like the colours and tones, I am also fascinated by trees never two the same.
Thanks John. Trees do provide wonderful subjects and never seem to complain.
