A simple image from my trip to Whitby last week where I was busy trying out a new camera. I will reveal shortly just what that camera was, and why I want to use it to make some comparisons. It’s going to get interesting.
I hope you like the image and have a great weekend.
I am a Landscape Photographer based in the North West of England. Unlike most photographers I believe smaller and lighter is better when it comes to cameras and equipment.

Holds special memories for me, I love the walk to black nab and the other way to a sandsend.
If it’s a Nikon D800, your position as President of the Lightweight Photographers’ Association might be at risk!
Lovely colours and, for a web photo, remarkably sharp.
Could also be a Sony Rx100 – III, of course.
I can’t reveal what it is yet but there is a reason behind it that I think people will understand, even if they think I am a little mad.
This was actually my very last shot of the day and I thought there wasn’t enough colour left in the sky. A nice surprise.
Hi John. I won’t keep you in suspense and confirm its not a D810. But it is a camera I wanted to use as a benchmark for with the micro 43 cameras. I think the results might surprise a few people.

regards,
All will be revealed shortly together with my reasons.
Nice shot, but perhaps not so lightweight with this one;)
And I agree, simple is best.
Thanks and no it’s not quite a lightweight camera although the perspective correction was all done in software. I will reveal all soon.
Hello Robin.
Lets hope your new camera mite be a D810 as I am thinking of selling my D800 and getting one. Happy day’s
