Robin, this photo is amazing. The focus really does take in everything. I notice you don’t include the metadata. Is this focus-stacked? I would be really glad to learn how you got this! Did you take it with the Fuji XT2? Which lens? Tripod? NDs? And if you have the time and/or energy, what did you make of the HX1? I am really interested in it for the 5 way stabilisation, but the press all seemed underwhelmed, at least in comparison with initial reaction to the XT-2.
Thanks very much for taking the time to read this.
Regards
Martin
Hi Martin, I’m pleased you like the photo and thanks for pointing out the information was missing. I have now added this. No special technique I’m afraid. It’s the Fuji X-T2 with the 18-55 kit lens at f/11.0. It’s a single handheld shot with no filters. As for the HX1, I haven’t tried one but I suspect the performance will be similar to the X-T2. But I do like the idea that the stabiliser is in the body. It would certainly help when shooting with that lump of a lens 16-55 – an amazing lens but no OIS.
