Yesterday I had a rare chance for a break. I won’t bore you with the details, but I’ve had a lot on recently, and it’s not just work. This made finally getting out feel even more wonderful, especially when I managed to take this shot.
I used the Fuji XT3 and my trusty Fuji 18-135 lens. I know a lot of people criticise this lens, but I don’t think that’s justified. It’s very versatile and is my go-to lens when I’m out walking. For this shot at the end of the day, I balanced the camera on my walking pole for a 1/3” exposure at f/13.0 at ISO160. The RAW file was then processed using Capture One and then the Nik Collection from DxO.
Videos and Newsletters
The other thing I want to mention is my latest video has just gone live on YouTube. In it, I’m explaining how to use the features of Studio Panels and the new Studio Presets to customise your layout. Here’s the link to the video (https://youtu.be/d3DqHQiRYao).
The May issue of my Lenscraft newsletter also goes out overnight tonight. If you haven’t signed up, you can do so here (https://lenscraft.co.uk/lenscraft-photography-blog/photography-newsletter/). You will also be able to read the newsletter on this page from tomorrow.
I won’t keep you any longer as it’s my birthday today and I want to put my feet up. They are aching from all the walking yesterday.
Have a great weekend and I hope you like the image.
